Customer Service Representative / Order Entry Representative

$12 - $14 an hour, Full Time, Monday thru Friday 8am to 5pm

PrideStaff is conducting a search on behalf of their Akron client for a Customer Service Representative in their order taking department.  This client has been around more than 75 years, has a great team approach and pride themselves in being a great place to work.

The Customer Service Representative in Order Entry’s main responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Answering customers' inquiries via phone, e-mail and fax.
  • Handling customer questions about pricing, lead time, and identifying the correct item.
  • Entering orders, arranging shipments, and generating invoices
  • Handling claims and complaints
  • Processing invoices from suppliers
  • Making arrangements with vendors

Job Requirements:

  • We are looking for someone with the ability to develop rapport and maintain strong working relationships with clients and co-workers.
  • Ability to process orders with perfect accuracy
  • Maintain high level of attention to detail
  • Operate in a fast-paced environment where you can multi-task effectively
  • Ability to work overtime as needed, such as come in early, stay late, and occasional Saturdays during peak busy season

  • Ability to think, not to just wait nor ask for answers
  • Interpersonal skills - patience to work with difficult people
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Computer literate

You must have reliable transportation, and successfully complete a criminal background check and drug screen and provide two professional references.
