Air Export/Import Agent 

Job Summary:

 Assist with processing of air shipments for an assigned base of accounts under direct supervision. 

Assist with duties related to document preparation and traffic coordination required to correctly process export shipments in a cost-efficient manner within Company standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Receive, review, and process export documentation for an assigned account. Process and follow SLI’s accurately.  Prepare and process Airway Bills, customer invoices, BOL for domestic pick-up’s

• Arrange, book, and confirm cargo space on aircraft.  Coordinate the ordering of cargo to the airport/gateway.

• Calculate air freight rates and cargo insurance accurately.

• Close files and distribute documents in accordance with pertinent requirements and in compliance with export standards.

• Advise supervisor of any problems or irregularities discovered within assigned transactions.

• Provide excellent and timely customer service by informing clients of the status of their shipments under direct supervision.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
• 2 year of experience in airfreight export/import

• College Degree in the Logistics field considered an asset
• Proficient in Microsoft office and Windows based applications
• Familiar with Cargowise system (if not, willing to learn)
• Ability to work efficiently in a team environment, as well as independently
• Assist/train on multiple accounts

Pay Rate: $17.00
