Accounting Supervisor | Production

Direct Hire | $70 - $90k annual salary | Great Company Culture!!

  • Coordinate monthly closing of financial systems and general ledger by ensuring accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and inventory systems will close and be posted to the general ledger in a timely manner. Ensure all journal entries are posted to the ledger, and that monthly financial statements are accurately produced and distributed to division leadership, corporate, and other financial statement users on a timely basis.
  • Ensure that all Group Services departmental expense summaries accurately reflect costs for the correct teammates included in each department and related otter group services expenses and that these costs are charged to the proper companies at the appropriate sharing percentages.
  • Prepare/review all other monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for ABC in compliance with financial, tax & treasury reporting requirements.
  • Analyze financial results; make recommendations as to areas where changes can be made to improve profitability, cost-effectiveness and asset management.
  • Prepare or review analyses of significant general ledger accounts on a monthly basis; these may include ROA accruals, payroll accruals and payroll tax liability accounts and all insurance reserve accounts.
  • Work closely with functional managers to ensure accruals and prepaid expenses are recorded and monitored appropriately
  • Administer division sales and use tax process including tax fillings.
  • Assist Controller and division leadership with projects as they arise.
  • Participate in a significant manner with regard to internal/external audits. Prepare or assemble supporting documents for all balance sheet accounts and significant income statement accounts and assist auditors with other requests for information.

  • 4-year Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred
  • 3 years’ work experience in financial-related positions with solid understanding of GAAP
  • Outstanding ability to handle confidential matters appropriately
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and possess a “can-do” attitude
  • Strong analytical/problem-solving skills
  • Strong proficiency within Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • At least 18 years old and can provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • Willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and/or drug screen
